Lieutenant G. J. Grieve Memorial, Watsons Bay

Description

Square sandstone base with a marble plaque surmounted by a sandstone pedestal and four columns, covered with a cupola which once supported the figure of a Highlander. Originally designed as a drinking fountain with a tap and a cup. 

Inscription

To the memory of the late Lieutenant G J Grieve who fell fighting at the Battle of Paardeburg South Africa 18 February 1900, Aged 36.
