Description

The honour board consists of a central varnished timber panel. The panel is carved in classical style with doric columns at each side and with three name panels. There are two matching supplementary varnished timber name panels, either side of the main board.  Each panel on the central board includes 31 names and each side panel  has10 names. In total 113 names are inscribed.

The board includes a dedication to Lance Corporal Franki at its base. The board was purchased and donated by Mr and Mrs J Franki in memory of their son, Stirling Napier Franki. Mr J Franki was the Managing Director of the Mort Bay and Engineering Company. The Mort Bay and Engineering Company were paid to complete the lettering on the memorial at a cost of £2, 8s, 9d. The cost was recovered through the raising of a special offertory taken up in October 1917 (£2,10s, 6d raised).

The memorial was dedicated by the Dean of Sydney, Reverend Albert Talbot at a choral service. The Dean preached the sermon at the same service.
