The NSW War Memorials Register will undergo essential upgrades from 3 July. If you have draft submissions ready, please submit them before 3 July.
The memorial is a bronze plaque located in Remembrance Place, Murwillumbah. In the top left-hand corner is a depiction of a Light Horseman, mounted on his horse, and in the top right-hand corner is the emblem of the National Servicemen's Association.
The plaque is the result of co-operation between the Tweed Valley-Murwillumbah sub-Branch of the National Servicemen's Association and the Murwillumbah RSL sub-Branch. It was created with the assistance of the Department of Veterans' Affairs 'Saluting Their Service' Commemorative Grants Program. It was unveiled by Colonel Tom Harwood on 11 November 2017, and dedicated by Reverend Graeme Hodgkinson.
Remembrance Place is the setting for Anzac Day and other commemorative services.
